Progressive Muscle Relaxation

Progressive muscle relaxation is very effective, easy to learn and can be practiced at any time and regardless of location. It was developed in the 1920s by the physician Edmund Jacobson.

The focus is on the alternation between tension and relaxation, stimulating the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems. Individual muscle groups, from head to toe, are repeatedly contracted and relaxed. In the process, inner peace is gradually achieved. This relaxation method is also particularly suitable for people who do not want to, or cannot, lie completely still in order to relax.
